GINZINGER electronic systems GmbH extends long term successful partnership with Novarion and KATSYS IT Service & Consulting

Since its commissioning, the NOVARION PlatinStor® Enterprise Storage System from GINZINGER electronic systems has supported the rapidly growing demand for capacity and data throughput to the complete satisfaction of the Upper Austrian high-tech company. The company’s founder, Ing. Ginzinger, also wanted the new virtualisation servers to provide the demanding operational systems with a flexible and reliable basis for many years to come. The QUANTON® servers from NOVARION and the proven partnership with the company KATSYS IT Service & Consulting were able to convince in the course of an ambitious selection process and subsequently with a smooth start-up.

A new level of flexibility and performance
The existing virtualisation servers of GINZINGER electronic systems were no longer state of the art; there had been a considerable growth in requirements in every respect. The increased complexity of interlinked operational systems, higher expectations of internal users and an accelerated growth in the amount of data to be processed led to the realisation that the new virtualisation servers not only had to offer a new level of flexibility and performance, but also help to keep costs under control.

Into the future with the proven team
Despite the high level of satisfaction, at the beginning of the selection process GINZINGER electronic systems did not want to commit to a specific manufacturer and its products. The aim was to select the most effective long-term solution for strongly growing requirements without prejudice. In the end, the choice fell on the proven team: the long-standing local partner KATSYS IT Service & Consulting with its customer-specific expertise and experience in combination with NOVARION, the Austrian manufacturer of server and storage solutions. Rapid delivery despite individual requirements and adherence to a tight, summertime timeframe for commissioning fully vindicated this decision.

Customers benefit from optimal performance in the long term
Ing. Ginzinger, founder and owner of GINZINGER electronic systems says: “Novarion has now also convinced us with their Quanton® servers. This enables us to operate a comprehensive, high-performance virtualisation platform from a single source and to benefit from the local expertise and trustworthiness of both our proven partner KATSYS IT and the Austrian manufacturer Novarion. In a particularly rapidly evolving environment, we expect this to have long-term benefits for our performance as a development and production company, especially in the interests of our customers. Like them, we are also maximising local value creation in the country.”
